Browser game has no sound? Check these settings
Practical help for playing on Geometry Dash Gamer.
A silent game does not always mean the audio is broken. Start by checking which player you opened: the featured homepage game has its own menu, while our five independent games have separate Music and SFX controls.
Start the game with a click or tap
Open the player and choose Play now yourself. Browsers can restrict audio that starts without user interaction. Waiting on the cover screen is not a sound test. On the homepage, the first button loads the embedded game; use its internal play button to begin.
Separate music from effects
In Pulse Runner, check both Music and SFX. You can leave background music off and still hear actions. Raise the player volume slightly, then try a jump. Check your computer’s output volume and selected headphones as well. Increase volume gradually rather than setting everything to maximum.
Check the tab and output device
Look for a muted-tab indicator in your browser. If audio works in another application but not in this tab, the tab may be muted independently. If you recently disconnected Bluetooth headphones, check the operating system’s selected output. Close other game tabs so you can identify which page is producing sound.
Restart one player
For the featured game, Stop / reload unloads the game and ends its audio. Choose Play now again to start a fresh session. Refreshing a page can discard an unfinished run, so finish or stop first. If the issue persists, note your browser, device, game, and whether music, effects, or both are missing when reporting it.
