How saved progress works on Geometry Dash Gamer
A practical guide to the games and settings on this website.
You do not need an account to play the five independent games here. Their optional saved results belong to a browser on a device, not to an online profile.
Without saving enabled
A game can remember results during its current page session. Closing or refreshing the page can remove that in-memory information. This is useful if you prefer to leave no optional score record on the device. It does not stop the hosting service from receiving the technical requests needed to load the website.
Enable optional local scores
Open storage settings and enable progress saving before your next game. Supported games store their best results locally. This does not save every frame of an unfinished run, synchronize devices, create a public leaderboard, or guarantee recovery after browser data is deleted.
Why a score can disappear
Different browsers and browser profiles use separate storage. Private browsing may discard data when its session ends. Clearing site data, blocking storage, or playing on another device can make an earlier result unavailable. A score on one course also should not be confused with the result for another course or game mode.
Turn saving off on a shared device
The storage settings switch removes this site’s supported score and preference values when saving is disabled. Other people using the same browser profile may otherwise see those local scores. There is no server backup to restore them. The featured homepage game is a separate player; do not assume its progress follows the same saving system as the independent games. Read the privacy notice for details about storage and essential security functions.
