Keyboard not working in a browser game: a quick checklist
Practical help for playing on Geometry Dash Gamer.
If Space scrolls the page instead of controlling the game, first check where keyboard focus is. A search box, another tab, or a browser shortcut can receive your input before the player does.
Put focus in the player
Start the game, then click inside its play area. The homepage also has a Focus game button after the embedded game is loaded. If the cover is still visible, press Play now first. Do not type game controls while the search field or another form input is selected.
Use the guide for that game
The featured game uses Space or click/tap for its main action. Vector Flight depends on holding and releasing; quick repeated taps behave differently from a sustained hold. A car or motorcycle game needs multiple controls, so read the keyboard panel below its player instead of assuming Space does everything.
Test a single input
Try a brief press, release it fully, and watch the result. For a hold-based game, make the second attempt with a longer hold. This separates a focus problem from misunderstanding the movement. If mouse input works but a key does not, check whether the same key works in an ordinary text field, then return focus to the game.
Recover after switching tabs
Release held keys before leaving a game. When you return, click the play area and resume using the available controls. If the player is stuck, use Restart in the independent games, or Stop / reload for the homepage game. That may reset your current attempt. Report the exact game and key if the problem repeats.
