Playing browser games on your phone: touch controls and screen space

Practical help for playing on Geometry Dash Gamer.

You can open this site on a phone without installing an app. The important difference is input: holding a finger on the player is a sustained action, while lifting it ends that hold.

Start with one control

Pulse Runner is a useful first choice because one action produces a jump. Vector Flight needs both halves of an input: hold to climb, release to descend. Read the touch controls below the player before starting a run.

Keep your finger in the play area

Touching outside the player can scroll the page. Position the game comfortably before you begin, then use the play area or the game’s on-screen controls. Avoid resting a second finger on a browser control. If a notification interrupts a run, release your touch and check the game state before continuing.

Choose the space that works for you

Landscape orientation can give a wide course more room, but rotate before starting an important attempt. Fullscreen availability varies by browser and device; you can keep playing in the normal page if it is unavailable. Close browser toolbars where your browser allows it, rather than zooming so far that controls become difficult to reach.

Keep sessions comfortable

Lower the volume before starting audio, take breaks, and stop if the phone becomes uncomfortably warm. A charged phone and a stable connection help with the initial load. The game files still need to load from the website; this is not a promise of offline support. If performance is uneven, see our performance checklist.
